Submit a Change Request for Industry Standards and Codes

All PHTA standards undergo regular review and are revised as appropriate to ensure they are up-to-date and relevant. Any individual may submit a request to change any PHTA standard at any time. The request for change will be considered during the next revision cycle. PHTA generally updates each standard at least every four years.

Current PHTA Standards Undergoing Revision

• ANSI/APSP/ICC-1 2014 American National Standard for Public Swimming Pools
  To be revised as PHTA-1 Standard for Public Pool and Spa Design, Construction and Installation
  Change request deadline for 2023 revision cycle: July 30, 2023
• ANSI/APSP/ICC-16 2017 American National Standard for Suction Outlet Fitting Assemblies (SOFA) for Use in Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs
  To be revised as PHTA-16 Standard for Suction Outlet Fitting Assemblies (SOFAs) for Use in Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs

Submit a Change Request for Other Pool & Spa Industry Codes

PHTA is compiling change requests for all other pool and spa industry codes, such as the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC). PHTA will assist with development of the change request, provide technical and expert support, and submit a change request as appropriate to the issuing body following their procedures and deadlines.
